As the Premier League is coming up within a few weeks ahead, powerhouses are doing their best to make a run for the trophy. Recently, Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag has spoken out about Liverpool and their new style.
This came shortly after their defeat against the Reds in a friendly. As the USA tour comes to an end, this has added flair to the team and the club.
Erik Ten Hag is impressed by Liverpool
As a part of their pre-season campaign, Anfield was on a tour before the ultimate showdown in the 2024-25 season. With Klopp suddenly leaving the leadership spot, the Reds never felt this much empty. However, it appears that Arne Slot has prepared Liverpool to a great extent, and Erik Ten Hag has something to say.
This has been a good US Tour for the Merseyside Club. LFC won every single one of these friendlies, starting with the 1-0 against Real Betis. After a win against the Gunners too, this time, they have beat Manchester United, their arch-rival. This has left Erik Ten Hag impressed about Liverpool.
On Saturday night, Arne Slot’s squad established their dominance over Old Trafford with a 3-0 win. Out of the 18 shots at goal, the Reds did their best to secure this win. With this much progress in such a short time, LFC appears to be ready.
Even Erik Ten Hag has praised Liverpool F.C. for their ‘aggressive’ style of playing. On the MUFC official website, the Dutchman expressed how surprised he was.
“There were mixed feelings, I would say. I think I have seen positive bits, but the way we concede goals, we are, of course, not happy with it.
Of course, Liverpool are a very good side. They are very aggressive, and they have lots of goalscoring abilities, so they did very well. But the way we conceded, we are not happy with it.”
