LFC have a couple of players who are just a Yellow Card away from missing the Second Leg match against Benfica. While ‘The Reds’ look to get a good First Leg score and return Home for the Second Leg.

Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane have already received 2 yellow cards this CL season. If they are ‘booked’ in tonight’s game they will have to miss out on the Return Leg at Anfield in about 10 days from now.

LFC Squad update for Benfica

Liverpool will face the Portuguese team in the Champions League – Quarterfinal game, after nearly a decade.

LFC manager Jurgen Klopp has a ‘full squad’ at his disposal, with Trent Alexander Arnold ‘fit and raring to go’ and Naby Keita also available.

This is a ‘good sign’, considering the ‘crucial run of matches in this month for the Merseyside Team.

After a long time, Jurgen Klopp has a ‘variety’ of players available, on the pitch and on the bench as well.

Mane and Jota Situation

Sadio Mane and fellow teammate Diogo Jota had received Yellow cards in the Group stage and Round of 16 games.

As the rules of UEFA suggest, should a player receive 3 warnings in separate matches, he shall miss one game.

But if Diogo Jota and Mane both have a clean game against Benfica with no bookings, their previous Warnings will not be carried on in the Semi-Finals provided, if they qualify.

Benfica Squad

The hosts Benfica on other hand have ‘several players’ who could miss the clash at Anfield if they get booked. Ex-Man City star – Nicolas Otamendi, Joao Mario, Alejandro Grimaldo, Julian Weigl, Roman Yaremchuk, Rafa Silva and Goncalo Ramos are the seven players who are at risk going into the first leg.

Although keeping all this aside with Liverpool’s squad ‘now fully fit’ the fans can expect an exciting encounter tonight.
