Three players return to training as the Liverpool team assembles following internationals

Liverpool players are returning back to the team training after the latest International break.

With the September international break coming to an end earlier this week, Jurgen Klopp now has the majority of his players back together more than two weeks after their most recent game against Ajax.

And the most recent training images show a handful of players who missed the early part of the season now back in action. Liverpool hosts Brighton in the first of 13 games over the next six weeks in two days.

Calvin Ramsay, Ibrahima Konate, and Caoimhin Kelleher all took part in the practice on Thursday. And the options appear to increase Klopp’s options for the Reds’ demanding pre-World Cup schedule.

Goalkeeper Kelleher was back in light training before the international break after suffering a groin injury while serving with his country at the close of the previous campaign. He now appears to be fully fit.
Another player who hasn’t been at all this year is Konate. He hurt his knee in Liverpool’s final preseason match in July. He appears to be back in the running as well.

It’s also encouraging to see Ramsay back in action after a trying start to his Liverpool career. Ramsay made the group in the summer.

The right-back had a back issue when he arrived at the club. And the team was careful not to press him into action too soon.

Diaz, Jota, and Nunez not part of the training yet

The absence of Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, and Darwin Nunez from the session’s photos suggests that they have been given more time to recover after their recent international adventures.

Diaz would have flown to Merseyside on Wednesday morning. This was after having featured in both of Colombia’s games against Guatemala and Mexico.

In Tuesday’s 1-0 loss to Spain, Jota acknowledged he requested a substitution because he wanted to manage his conditioning after the injury.

While Andy Robertson, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones, and Kaide Gordon are now away, Fabio Carvalho was seen working on set pieces with neuro 11.

In his pre-Brighton press conference on Friday afternoon, Jurgen Klopp is likely to give an injury update.
