Thiago Alcantara is full of praise for these Liverpool players

Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara was in full praise of the team, as they thrashed Man United 4-0 yesterday at Anfield.

Thiago also produced a spectacular performance against the Arch Rivals from Manchester.

This was the first time in over 8 years that Liverpool had done a ‘league double’ over United in the Premier League.

Thiago praises his Liverpool teammates

After a solid match-winning performance against United, Thiago spoke to Sky Sports about how good their attacking options are.

He was especially in praise of the Liverpool attackers as,

All of Reds’ front 3 had scored the goal, as well as bagged an assist each. Mo Salah was impressive after a dry spell of goals, by scoring a brace yesterday.

Diogo Jota the substitute had provided the other assist in the 4-0 beating of Man United.

In conversation with Sky Sports alongside Mo Salah, the Spanish International had gone on to say,

As we were joking some seconds ago, when we have the top-level strikers that we have up front and we have this attack three from – or whoever comes in – when we saw not just how they score in offensive, but in defensive situations

We just want to make the team perform and make high pressures

– Thiago

When he spoke about Salah the ‘striker’ the Egyptian rephrased and told that he is a ‘winger’, Thiago replied

A striker is a modern winger – come on -scoring a lot of goals

– Thiago

Well, we can’t differ much from it as well.

Liverpool is on top of the PL Throne

Liverpool are currently on Top of the Premier League table after yesterday’s thumping win.

They overtook Man City by two points with having played a game more but that would still instil ‘build confidence in the players.

Now Liverpool are just six games and one Man City slip away from winning their second Premier League title in 2 years. While the Reds are perfectly poised in other competitions as well.
