Mo Salah makes it very clear that the talks about negotiations in his contract have nothing to do with the money at all.

Mohamed Salah has done a lot for Liverpool and one of the many reasons for the Reds to be in the title race is because of the number of goals scored by the Egyptian.

Moreover, the Reds are currently at the second spot in the Premier League this season with only 1 point behind the defending champions with both the teams having 6 games in hand.

However, the end of the season is coming closer and closer both Liverpool and Manchester City are starting to feel the pressure as they cannot afford to lose even a single point at this moment.

Salah on contract talks

I don’t know, I have one year left he said. I think the fans know what I want, but in the contract it’s not everything about the money at all. So I don’t know, I can’t tell you exactly. I have one year left and the fans know what I want.

Salah told the magazine

The questions about Mo Salah’s contract are concerning the Reds as the 29-year-old is a key player in the team and has performed exceptionally well since he joined the club.

In addition, the Egyptian has scored 22 goals in the Premier League after playing 30 games this season. The winger has also been successful in putting the ball past the post 8 times in the UEFA Champions League after playing 10 matches and will be looking forward to scoring more goals as they have reached the semi-final.

Should Liverpool offer the Egyptian a new contract?

Meanwhile, as the Reds are looking forward to ending their season with more than 1 title, they have to think about the future as well.

Having a player like Mo Salah in the team increases the chances of winning for any club. The pace and the finishing the Egyptian brings is something that the Merseyside club will not be able to replace if he leaves the club after the season. Thus, it seems quite clear that Salah deserves a new contract and Liverpool surely needs to extend his stay at Anfield.
