Ryan Gravenberch’s future has come under scrutiny after his agent’s recent interview.
The agent openly discussed Real Madrid’s past interest. Liverpool supporters have grown concerned about losing another star to Los Blancos.
Since 2004, the Reds have sold key players to Madrid. Michael Owen left in 2004, followed by Xabi Alonso in 2009.
Now, Trent Alexander-Arnold looks set to join them this summer. Gravenberch has started every one of Liverpool’s 31 Premier League matches this season.

Ryan runs it, Slot knows it
He has become a crucial figure in midfield. Losing him now would be a huge setback for Arne Slot’s plans. The agent’s remarks stirred speculation and raised fans’ anxiety, as per RousingTheKop.
However, new reports suggest the situation may not be as serious. Journalist Lewis Steele offered some much-needed clarity on the situation.
Steele claimed the agent’s comments were lost in translation. He stated that Real Madrid showed interest in the past, not now. According to Steele, Gravenberch is extremely happy at Liverpool.
The Dutchman enjoys life at Anfield and feels settled in the squad. Gravenberch joined Liverpool after a tough spell at Bayern Munich.
The Reds gave him a second chance and stability. Supporters hope he appreciates that loyalty and stays long-term.
Madrid’s midfield jammed—Gravenberch left hanging
Still, football transfers are unpredictable and can change quickly. Nothing is impossible during an open transfer window.
Real Madrid already have a packed midfield. Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, and Aurelien Tchouameni are all thriving there.
Even veteran Luka Modric still features in games. Therefore, Madrid’s need for Gravenberch is currently low. Unless a massive bid arrives, Gravenberch seems likely to remain.
Liverpool value him highly and see him as a core player. For now, he should focus on finishing the season strong. Next year could be even better for him at Anfield.
