Mohamed Salah signs new Liverpool contract as details revealed

Mohamed Salah has put all transfer rumors to rest by signing a new contract with Liverpool.

The Egyptian forward, who joined the club back in 2017, has now extended his stay until 2027.

This move keeps one of Anfield’s biggest stars on Merseyside for at least two more seasons.

Salah’s renewal comes during a busy time for the Reds, as new head coach Arne Slot begins shaping his squad for the future.

While fans have seen many changes on and off the pitch, keeping Salah is a huge boost.

The winger has been one of the Premier League’s most dangerous players for years, and he shows no signs of slowing down.

This season alone, Salah has already scored 32 goals and provided 22 assists across all competitions.

His ability to both score and create chances remains vital for Liverpool. Despite being 32 years old, he’s still running defenders ragged and breaking records along the way.

What Mohamed Salah said on signing new Liverpool contract?

In a message to Liverpool fans after the contract announcement, Salah said:

“Of course I’m very excited. We have a great team now… I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football.”

He added: “I would like to say to [the fans], I am very, very happy to be here… hopefully in the future we’re going to win more trophies.”

The contract extension could also see Salah climb even higher in Liverpool’s history books.

He’s already the club’s third-highest scorer of all time and might soon overtake Roger Hunt for second place.

On top of that, his assist record is among the club’s best, chasing names like Kenny Dalglish and Steven Gerrard.

With big changes expected at Liverpool this summer, Salah’s experience and leadership will be key.

As one of the few remaining senior figures, he may also be a top contender for a vice-captain role.

Salah staying isn’t just a contract — it’s a signal that the Egyptian King still rules at Anfield.
