The Premier League journey continues as we look at the Liverpool and Brentford match highlights. Liverpool put their despair behind them after cruising to a 3-0 victory over Brentford at home in the Premier League.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was among the scorers and that was great to see. After the midweek irritation, the Reds made two changes to their starting lineup. Curtis Jones was given the opportunity to start alongside Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Liverpool’s attack was solidified as clearly seen in their performance. Playing against a side that is reeling in the bottom half of the table, Liverpool capitalized. The Reds were completely in control of the game right from the start after kickoff.

The first golden chance came when Andy Robertson’s cross flew over Roberto Firmino’s head. Diogo Jota continued showing his brilliant form as he unleashed 3 continuous threats in quick succession. This made Brentford to deal with lot of hardships during the course of the game. Sky Sports say it was an easy win.

Liverpool 3-0 Brentford: match highlights

There was a dangerous cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold in the 22nd minute where the ball fell at Van Dijk’s feet. He could have opened the account for the Reds but his strike was denied and cleared off well.

Liverpool grew ponderous in their usage of the ball. A silly pass from Joel Matip saw the visitors almost score with Ivan Toney striking the ball just wide. The opener came from a corner as Fabinho nodded the ball in.

The next two goals came in the second half with Robertson’s cross being dunked by Oxlade-Chamberlain’s beautiful diving header. The second came minutes later from birthday boy Takumi Minamino.

Thus Liverpool grabbed all three points to boost their hopes in the Premier League title race.
