Liverpool places a massive transfer bid for Leeds United forward Raphinha, inquest for another attacking addition.

Forward Raphinha is a well-known name certainly in the Premier League. The forward has been the only bright star for Leeds United’s underwhelming last season. The Brazil international has been linked with numerous clubs and Premier League giants Liverpool being one of them.

Jurgen Klopp has supposedly set his eyes on the Brazilian. The German manager views him as an option to increase the Reds’ attacking option.

Despite interest from various clubs the Whites’ intention is to make Raphinha stay at Elland Road. But it is likely that the forward could leave them this summer.

The transfer isn’t that simple for Liverpool. The winger is claimed to have said ‘no’ to a switch to Merseyside in favor of holding out on La Liga giants Barcelona. But the deal with Barcelona haven’t worked out due to the Catalan club’s economic constrained factors.

Barcelona are still waiting for Frenkie de Jong’s transfer shift in order to fund a move for Raphinha. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich’s Lewandowski is also waiting for his move to Barcelona.

A very intriguing summer transfer window is ahead for the Spanish giants.

In spite of his links with Barcelona, Brazil legend Rivaldo urged Raphinha to sign for Liverpool. The former Brazil superstar says:

If he were to make the move, he may not be a regular starter, but I’m sure it would be a big step in his career,

It would allow him to compete for titles and play in the Champions League which could be crucial for more call-ups into the Brazilian national team.

He has the quality to play for a bigger club. He is playing excellent football and a player always wants more and stronger challenges, so he would benefit from a transfer.

It remains to be seen where he ends up at the start of the next season.

What does Anfield Home think about the move?

Liverpool have completed the statement signing of Darwin Nunez for a mega deal of potential £100million deal. The Uruguayan is seen as the potential replacement of Sadio Mane, who is set to depart for Bayern Munich this summer.

Nunez’s signing probably may not be the like-to-like replacement to Mane, as the former Benfica man comes in with a whole lot of different packages. But the versatility to play in different positions makes him suitable for Liverpool’s system.

Meanwhile, the left-footed Raphina is potentially seen as the heir to Mo Salah by many. However, signing another forward for a huge transfer fee this summer doesn’t make sense as there are other departments of the field to look for.

Liverpool hierarchy should bring in a defensive midfielder to deputies Fabinho in the number 6 role. Meanwhile, cover for Trent Alexander Arnold is also a priority. At the moment, Aberdeen’s right-back Calvin Ramsey is strongly linked with his move to Anfield.
