According to reports, Egypt international Mohamed Salah has reached an agreement in principle for a fresh Liverpool contract.
Mohamed Salah will see his current contract at Liverpool run out in the summer, and the winger has contributed 27 goals and 17 assists in 31 Premier League matches this term to give Liverpool an 11-point advantage over Arsenal in the standings.
Salah is now inching closer to signing a new contract with Liverpool as talks between both parties are progressing well after the no.11 conceded to taking a slight pay cut in a bid to secure a longer offer on the Merseyside.
According to Transfer News Live on X (source: Sacha Tavolieri),
“An agreement has been reached in principle but final details are still being discussed.”

During the course of the season, Salah has made it obvious that remaining at Anfield is his priority and it is now known that there has been a breakthrough following a lengthy negotiation process.
Regardless of his deal expiring this summer, the club have been fairly optimistic that Salah would commit his future to the club. The negotiations have reached a turning point between the both parties.
This news comes as one that all Liverpool fans wanted to hear as the curtains on this extended transfer saga with Salah and captain Van Dijk are slowly being drawn.
However, this is not an entirely new story, with Salah signing his last contract in July 2022 with just about 12 months remaining. This instance sees the winger having just over two months left before the expiration.
Now, after months of long negotiations, it seems progress is being made between both parties that will see Salah extend his eight-year tenure at Liverpool, which has seen him score 243 goals in 394 matches across all competitions.
