Kylian Mbappe might end up at Liverpool amid rumors of him being unhappy and asking for his transfer as soon as possible.

The focus of football news over the previous few days has been on Mbappe. Despite the fact that he only recently extended his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, numerous stories have challenged his satisfaction there.

The possibility of a January transfer has risen. Although it would be quite expensive for anyone to get him. Despite how odd it may appear, Liverpool has long-standing fans and has just been linked once more.

However, there might be an additional way they can capture Mbappe. According to Egyptian writer Ismael Mahmoud, Paris Saint-Germain might be open to trade with Liverpool.

Mahmoud said that if Paris Saint-Germain were to transfer Mbappe to Liverpool, their plan would be to acquire Mohamed Salah in exchange.

Similar to Mbappe, Salah recently renewed his deal with his present club. But despite a decline in form in the Premier League, he has also been in the spotlight.

From eight games in the English Premier League this season, Salah has only found the net twice. In contrast, after finishing second last season, Liverpool has only won two games in the campaign thus far.

To improve the club’s overall prospects, there have been suggestions for Salah to be left on the bench. Could they, however, take it a step further and kill him in January?

The Mbappe-Salah swap transfer not likely to happen

In Mahmoud’s estimation, Salah would be PSG’s first choice to take Mbappe’s place. Sincerity dictates that the likelihood of a deal of this size closing still seems remote.

For Liverpool, getting Mbappe in exchange for Salah may be profitable. They would continue to regenerate their onslaught for many years.

Mbappe has been in better shape this year, making nine League matches and scoring eight goals. Additionally, he has four goals in four games for the UCL. He could therefore be more trustworthy than Salah.

However, Salah has given Liverpool too much good service for him to be fired so quickly. Especially so soon after they gave him a contract that set a record.

Salah has contributed 161 goals from 266 club games since joining AS Roma in 2017. So, there is no reason to think he won’t continue to shine.

Having said that, it won’t be a common occurrence to have the chance to recruit a player like Mbappe. However, before making any choice that would annoy Salah, Liverpool would need to be certain there is a real chance they can sign him.

Liverpool will initially wait to see if they can coax a stronger performance from Salah. Mbappe being their next acquisition, still seems to be a pipe dream at this point.
