Manchester United will be facing Liverpool for their next EPL fixture amid a really bad run of form. The Man United squad is unsure about the ability of Erik Ten Hag as their manager.

Erik ten Hag is the sixth full-time manager to lead United since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure. And he immediately looks to be travelling a well-worn path.

During their tenures in the Old Trafford dugout, David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Ralf Rangnick all endured harsh criticism. Solskjaer was the longest serving manager with his days came little under three years.

Additionally, Ten Hag might be under internal review. It happens as United supporters intend to demonstrate the night of Liverpool’s visit to Manchester on Monday.

Man United Squad doesn’t trust Erik Ten Hag

According to the Manchester evening report, Red Devils need a “more realistic approach”. It’s because “several United players feel Ten Hag’s method does not fit their talent level.”

It is challenging to pin down the precise strategy that Ten Hag has employed thus far. Especially given the way that he has used the recent acquisition of Christian Eriksen. The Attacking midfielder played both as a striker and a defensive midfielder.

The amateur possession play of David De Gea and Harry Maguire put Eriksen under constant strain in the 4-0 loss to Brentford the last time they met.

According to the same source, Ten Hag is also considering benching Maguire for Liverpool’s visit. He will be replacing him with Raphael Varane as Lisandro Martinez’s partner.

In the first two games of this season, neither Maguire nor Martinez has made an impression. Martinez has a short stature. It was evident as he was beaten in the air by an unstable Ben Mee for Brentford’s third.

Martinez was replaced by Varane at halftime of that game. But as of right now, they will play together against Liverpool.

For the Reds, Maguire’s absence would be regrettable given the England center back’s struggles in the years after his £80 million transfer from Leicester.

However, in order to pursue their first win of the Premier League season, Liverpool will need to concentrate on their own problems before celebrating those of their opponents after consecutive draws with Fulham and Crystal Palace.
