As the international break comes to an end, Liverpool looks to resume their quest for the top four in a highly anticipated clash against Man City this Saturday.

The Reds will be looking to bounce back from their humiliating 6-2 (on aggregate) defeat against Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Having some key players returning from injury following the international break, Jurgen Klopp will be naming a strong side for this fixture.

The German will be looking to opt for the traditional 4-3-3 formation against Guardiola’s side. However, things would not be easy as Liverpool continues to look for their first win at the Etihad since 2016.

4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted XI Vs Man City

Defense

Alisson will continue to retain his spot in between the sticks after arguably being the club’s best player this season. Ibrahima Konate and Virgil Van Dijk would be the straightforward center-back partnership that Klopp would go for.

Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold will be the two names on the defensive flanks for Liverpool. As Joel Matip continues to offer defensive depth from the bench. While Kostas Tsimikas would miss the trip to Etihad following his back injury during the international break.

Midfield

Looking to recover from a recent injury, Stefan Bajcetic will only make the bench for the clash against The Citizens.

Although, fully fit Harvey Elliot, Jordan Henderson, and Fabinho will anchor Liverpool’s midfield. The trio has to be at the best of their abilities to create goal-scoring opportunities for their teammates.

Attack

The Reds will look to continue with an attacking trio of Darwin Nunez, Mohammed Salah, and Cody Gakpo this Saturday.

Gakpo will lead the line down the middle as Nunez will try to make an impact from the left wing with the Egyptian on the right.

Also, Luis Diaz could be seen making a return on the substitutes bench. Klopp will not be looking to rush the Columbian back into action immediately after his recovery.

Roberto Firmino will have to be content with a spot on the bench. As the Brazilian has already made his intentions clear of leaving the club this summer.
