According to reports from the Italian outlet Tuttosport, Liverpool are considering a move for Dusan Valvohic in the upcoming transfer window.

The 21-year-old Serbian forward has scored 35 goals in 91 appearances for Florentina in Seria A. The Forward was already linked with Tottenham hotspurs last summer.

However, Dusan was unable to complete his move and thus the Reds now have a chance on bringing him to Anfield.

The young forward is back on the radar as the January transfer window is nearing day by day.

Liverpool has shown their interest in the Serbia international along with Manchester City and Juventus. All these clubs are willing to spend money on Valvohic, who is promising at his position and is young too. Juventus are already having the upper hand which leaves other clubs to spend more for this player.

The Serbian international’s contract expires in the summer of 2023. He recently rejected a 4 million euros a year deal which would have made him the highest-paid player in the club’s history.

With the player not signing the new contract, Dusan is up in the transfer market for his auction.

Vlahovic himself has made some bold claims about his talent, he believes that he can compete with Haaland in every aspect except speed. On comparing himself with Haaland, Valvohic said

He is faster than me, but for the rest, we compete.

Why Liverpool are interested in Dusan Valvohic?

Liverpool are currently in search of a young and Promising forward. The main attacking trio Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino all have less than two years left on their contract. Moreover, all are in their early thirties.

Liverpool are trying to find young and promising players as substitutes for these forwards. Thus, to slowly develop them under these superstars to prepare them for the future.

Vlahovic is also averaging a WhoScored player rating of 6.1 in the early stages of the 2021-22 Serie A campaign. He has scored Six times in eight matches.

According to these figures, Vlahovic would be perfect for the reds and they would like to see him moving to Anfield this January.

Many teams are trying to sign the young forward. Thus, this has left him with a lot of options to make a move. Moreover, this encourages his club to raise his market value for the upcoming transfer window.
