Liverpool have sent a massive new contract offer to keep Trent Alexander-Arnold at Anfield. The offer comes as Real Madrid continues to monitor the situation closely.
According to reports, Liverpool have proposed a four-year deal until 2029, with an option to extend for another season until 2030.
The contract would see Alexander-Arnold earn over £18 million per season, showing how much the Reds value their star right-back.
However, Real Madrid have not given up hope of signing the England international.
The Spanish giants have been in touch with Alexander-Arnold’s representatives since July. Liverpool’s latest move is their attempt to secure his future before Madrid can swoop in.

Why Real Madrid wants Trent Alexander-Arnold?
Real Madrid’s interest in Alexander-Arnold is no surprise. Injuries to Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao have left the club thin at right-back.
Lucas Vázquez remains their only senior option, but his inconsistent performances have been a concern.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti has had to use Federico Valverde in the position to cover the gap. While Valverde has done well, this change weakens Madrid’s midfield, a role where the Uruguayan is most effective.

Despite their struggles, reports suggest Real Madrid will not make a move for a right-back in January. Instead, they are planning to wait until Alexander-Arnold’s current contract expires in June 2025.
For now, the decision rests with Alexander-Arnold. The 25-year-old has turned down three previous contract offers from Liverpool, as per reports via Marca.
Whether he stays at Anfield or heads to Madrid will depend on his next move.
