Liverpool To Outbid Barcelona For Bayern Star Joshua Kimmich In Stunning £25.4M Transfer Coup

According to reports from Spain, Liverpool are in pole position to snatch the signing of Joshua Kimmich from Barcelona with a more lucrative salary offer.

An article in Sport Today indicates that the Catalan giants are eager to get the German midfielder this summer.

New Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is keen on reuniting with Kimmich. He has previously managed Kimmich at Bayern and with the German national team as well.

Flick is aiming to form a strong midfield partnership with Frenkie de Jong, Ilkay Gundogan and Joshua Kimmich.

However, Barca will face stiff competition from Premier League clubs, particularly Liverpool, who are favourites and certainly capable of offering him a higher salary.

The Catalan source states:

“Barca will have tough competition to obtain his services. Important Premier League clubs have also been interested in him, with Liverpool being the team that may have taken an advantage over the rest. Surely, these clubs will offer the player a higher salary than what Barca can offer him”

Kimmich To Liverpool: Possible Or Not?

Kimmich’s current contract with Bayern Munich expires next year. As of now, he has no intention to extend it either.

Sport had cited reports from Germany that the Bayern Munich midfielder has an appealing transfer fee of £25.4 million (€30 million).

The 29-year-old has won every major title with Bayern Munich. The 90-capped international was a key midfielder under Flick.

But he was used as a right-back by Julian Nagelsmann during the European Championships.

Kimmich is a widely skilled, versatile player with valuable experience. He has the ability to enhance any team in the world. But now the important question is:

Should Liverpool pay £25.4 million to bring Kimmich as a replacement for the injury-prone Thiago Alcântara at Anfield?
