Is Anthony Gordon’s Liverpool Transfer Off the Table for Good?

Arne Slot has kept his shortlist of new talents public ahead of the 2024-25 Premier League. However, in an unfortunate turn of events, it appears that Liverpool will miss Anthony Gordon.

Despite all their attempts to bring in this young talent, there are a lot of complications ahead of LFC. This gives other Premier League giants an open window for signing him in.

Liverpool will probably not succeed in bringing Anthony Gordon

From previous reports, the Merseyside Club was previously planning to include a player in their deal for Gordon. However, neither Jarell Quansah nor Caoimhin Kelleher could stay up to their demands. For Anthony Gordon to come to Liverpool, the club needs to spend £50 million.

The 23-year-old Newcastle star appears to be a fan of LFC since he was a boy. However, as he is playing for the Magpies now, the club wants to keep him. That’s why, they will make him an attractive offer before Liverpool can weigh into the deal for Anthony Gordon

This Newcastle Forward also plays for the English International Team; although he had a goalless record for this year’s UEFA Euro, Gordon can improve himself to any extent. That is the sole reason Eddie Howe does not want Liverpool to acquire Anthony Gordon.

If he stays at St. James Park and still fails to deliver, then Newcastle F.C. can decide further. However, as it currently stands, the Reds are already disappointed, considering how much they wanted this deal.
