One of the transfer targets Liverpool were reportedly interested in, Omar Marmoush, has officially been announced as a Manchester City player.
This comes as bad news for Liverpool as former Eintracht Frankfurt forward, Omar Marmoush has been confirmed as a new recruit for Pep Guardiola’s Man City in the ongoing transfer window.
The player who hails from Egypt is one of the hottest prospects in Europe this season and has registered 20 goals and 14 assists in 26 games across all competitions.

Liverpool target Omar Marmoush completes Manchester City transfer
Italian football journalist, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the transfer of Marmoush to the current Premier League holders through a tweet on his X account on Thursday morning.
The former Frankfurt striker will join the Citizens in a £63.3m deal pending the completion of a medical this month.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been very active in the January transfer window, also securing transfers for Vitor Reis from Brazilian side Palmeiras and Abdukodir Khusanov from RC Lens.
In contrast, the Merseyside club have seen no progress in their ongoing contract negotiations with star players, and new arrivals this month appear equally unlikely.
Considering the difficulties Slot’s side had in breaking down and unlocking low-block defenses against teams like Nottinham Forest and Brentford in back-to-back Premier League matches, it is quite disappointing to miss out on a player who is both highly mobile and technically gifted.
Omar Marmoush possesses the skill set necessary to thrive in the crucial ‘spaces in between’, as he has the ability to read the game, turn at the perfect moment and solve situations with his dynamic movement and creative playmaking.
However, there is no doubt that the newly signed Man City player’s ability on the ball will be invaluable to his new team.
