Liverpool target Issahaku agrees on a move in January to Sporting CP, agent confirms

After months of speculation, Liverpool target Abdul Fatawu Issahaku will make a move to Sporting Lisbon in January. His agent has confirmed that the Ghanaian footballer will be playing for the Portuguese club in the new year.

The Reds expressed an interest in bringing the 17-year-old midfielder to Anfield, who has engineered a move to Portugal now.

Jurgen Klopp wanted to bolster his midfield options and identified the 17-year-old as a future midfield superstar. As per the Goal, in the month of May Liverpool were keen on signing the young prodigy but eventually, the move broke down.

Meanwhile, the Ghanaian wonder boy is dubbed as one of the finest African talents of his generation, and buzz about him has skyrocketed in recent months.

Issahaku was being monitored by many clubs around the world and is widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects of Africa. German giants Borussia Dortmund also closely monitored Issahaku’s situation. But the German club failed to bring Issahaku to the Signal Iduna Park.

Moreover, Reports also suggested that the player was close to signing for Bayern Leverkusen. Apparently, the talented midfielder will play at Estádio José Alvalade for the Portuguese side.
