Liverpool are already planning major summer moves before the transfer window officially opens. Sporting director Richard Hughes is leading talks to strengthen the squad after a near-title-winning season.
The Reds are in discussions to sign left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth. Anfield Watch first revealed Liverpool’s interest in Kerkez before Christmas.
Kerkez is viewed as a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas. Hughes wants to inject fresh energy into Liverpool’s full-back options this summer.

Liverpool have also set their sights on Bournemouth centre-back Dean Huijsen. The club is ready to trigger Huijsen’s £50 million release clause.
The 19-year-old Spain international is attracting interest from other top clubs. However, Liverpool remain confident they can win the race for his signature.
Both defenders would bolster Arne Slot’s defensive options next season. The Reds are also prioritising a new striker this summer.
Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota could both leave Anfield in the coming months. Liverpool have opened talks with Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.
Discussions with Ekitike’s representatives recently took place in London. Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes are working closely on the striker deal.
Ekitike is viewed as a potential key player under Arne Slot. Liverpool are also scouting several other attacking targets across Europe. The Reds’ summer rebuild will not stop with these three targets.
With strong finances, Liverpool are prepared for a busy transfer window. Player sales could further boost their already healthy budget. This summer offers Hughes a real chance to shape the team. He has assessed the squad’s needs for nearly a year now.
New deals for Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk show intent. Now, Hughes wants to back Slot with major signings. Expect Liverpool’s first transfer of the summer very soon.
