While Liverpool football club is very concerned about the future of big names like Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk, there are some players in the team who also need some consideration. One of them is 25-year-old Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate. The Frenchman will be out of contract within just more than 12 months.
Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold is ready to leave the club in the summer. The England international is planning to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.
Trent will be out of contract at the end of this season, and Madrid wants to sign him up for a free transfer in the upcoming summer transfer window.
This is a big loss for the Reds as they could have gained a lot of money from the sale of Alexander-Arnold.
However, that chance is now gone. The Reds definitely don’t want to repeat that mistake once again with their 25-year-old defender Ibrahima Konate.
Konate will be out of contract within just more than 12 months, having signed for the Merseyside club in 2021.

When will Liverpool renew the contract of Ibrahima Konate?
Konate joined the Reds in 2021 from RB Leipzig on a free transfer for a five-year contract. That contract period will end in the next season. So, the Liverpool board wants to make a fast decision and offer Ibrahima Konate a new contract as soon as possible.
Well, the contract renewal of Ibrahima Konate will also raise other issues inside the club.
Konate is no doubt having the best season of his career with the Liverpool team. That means if Liverpool renews its contract for a long time of period, then it also remains to be seen whether Jarell Quansah and Joe Gomez will remain at the club.
It’s still not clear when Liverpool will be ready to offer a new contract to Ibrahima Konate. But Arne Slot’s side should be wanting to do it very soon.
