After completing potentially a club-record signing of Darwin Nunez, Liverpool yet again makes a big-money Bellingham transfer bid.
Liverpool last season has set an enormous benchmark. Klopp’s side fought for all four trophies, winning two and runners up on the other two occasions. The Merseysiders are busy getting their deals done in the transfer window in order to start from where they left off last season.
With the 2022 summer transfer window only being open for a short time, Liverpool have already completed a statement signing of striker Darwin Nunez. The Uruguayan could potentially be a club-record signing of £100 million. Furthermore, the striker has signed a six-year deal with the Anfield club.
However, the business doesn’t end there with a number of players strongly linked with Liverpool.
Liverpool makes a mega transfer bid for Bellingham
After Nunez’s signing, Klopp is apparently eyeing an attempt to bring English teenage star, Jude Bellingham, from Borussia Dortmund.
According to Cadena Ser, Liverpool have offered €100m (£85.7m) for the England star in an effort to secure his services.
While the report also suggests Liverpool are facing strong competition from Real Madrid. The Spanish and European champions running for the former Birmingham City man. But with Erling Haaland’s exit already, Dortmund does not want to lose Bellingham and Haaland in one transfer window.
It always seemed likely that Liverpool would make a move for Bellingham at some point. However, the common consensus is that it would be next summer.
Both Tiago Alcantara and Jordan Henderson turn 32 on their next birthday, while James Milner and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain are likely to leave the club by next season. With an ageing Liverpool midfield, Bellingham would be a great addition, alongside Fabio Carvalho who joins Liverpool this summer.
Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich
With Jude Bellingham being linked to Liverpool in the Premier League, on the other hand, Sadio Mane looks set for the opposite switch to Bundesliga. Bayern Munich are currently the prime candidate to sign Mane, having already indicated by Mane to leave Liverpool.
Moreover, according to Fabrizio Romano, the forward has agreed to ‘personal terms’ with the German giants ahead of a switch to the Allianz Arena. That leaves the two clubs agreeing to a fee over Mane’s signature.
