Liverpool are ‘exploring’ Raphinha’s transfer from Leeds United in the upcoming summer transfer window, (according to Romano), in case Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane choose to exit the club at the end of this season.
Raphinha who has a £25 million release clause, would look to join a Premier League club. All Depends upon the ‘relegation’ status of his current club.
Leeds who are currently 7 points from the relegation spot after an ‘exciting’ late win against Wolverhampton Wolves. They are looking to continue the fine run and stay afloat in the League, under the new manager.
Competition for Liverpool as per Romano
Romano has updated, that ‘The Reds’ may face competition from rivals to sign Raphinha.
Clubs from London like Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and West Ham United were also linked to Raphinha in the past.
Let me just add, Chelsea were at the front of the queue for Raphinha in the January window.
added Fabrizio Romano, in relation to Chelsea.
Meanwhile Spanish giants Barcelona and League rivals Arsenal have also been monitoring the Raphinha situation.
Raphinha at Merseyside
With Liverpool being a ‘complete’ force to reckon with, having bolstered their attacking strength as well and looking fierce-full before the goal.
The addition of the Brazilian forward could make them a strong competitor ‘all round’ the season. Having scored 9 goals from 27 games this season the forward looks in the nick of things.
Liverpool are exploring the possibility of signing Raphinha,
If Leeds get relegated, there will be some really interesting clauses. It’s around £25m, so it could be a big opportunity on the market.
Romano continued.
Is this the End of famous Liverpool ‘Front 3’ ?
If Liverpool rope in Raphinha could this possibly mean the end of the their ‘famous’ front 3.
Former gunner Kevin Campbell had the following to say,
This could well be the end of that front three of Salah, Mane, and Firmino,
Salah and Mane have played themselves into a really difficult situation purely by being so successful. They’re, quite rightly, asking for big money to stay and it’s now up to Liverpool to either pay it or not.
He further continued,
If they want Raphinha, and they’ve already got Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota – these players are not going to want to sit on the bench. Harvey Elliott is in the background now too.
It may well be a changing of the guard at Liverpool, and Raphinha could be a big part of that.
With only a year of contract left for Sadio Mane and Mo Salah after the end of season, things could get really interesting by then.
