Liverpool have been given a fresh boost over the pursuit of Lille’s star midfielder, Renato Sanchez. The player will be available for sale if a decent offer arrives for the midfielder in the upcoming summer.

The Reds are currently looking to bolster their midfield and identify the former Munich man as an ideal player.

Sanchez has a contract with Lille until June 2023, therefore the club might try to choke up some cash from the player’s departure.

The Portuguese has struggled this season with a knee injury but did feature before the international break against Marseille. The player was linked with many clubs during the summer transfer window but stayed at Stade Pierre Mauroy.

Now, the Portuguese international will be allowed to leave in the January transfer window. Talking to BFM Lille the club’s president Oliver Letang has confirmed that if a decent offer arrives they are ready to let Sanchez leave. The French club is open to selling the 24-year-old only if an offer from big clubs arises.

“I have already discussed with him, if an offer from a big club arrives, Renato will be able to leave. We will see what will happen.”

Should Liverpool sign Renato Sanchez ?

Liverpool has expressed their wish to sign the Portuguese midfielder. The club is desperate to sign a replacement for their former midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

There hasn’t been any official contact, but the club is monitoring the situation right now and wouldn’t hesitate to battle for the midfielder.

Meanwhile, Barcelona and Wolves are also looking for acquiring the services of the highly-rated Portuguese star. Not a difficult transfer but not an easy one too. The club must make his signing a priority as he can help in bolstering Jurgen’s Klopp midfield.

Moreover, the former Premier League champions are still lacking that quality depth in their squad. While after the departure of Xherdan Shaqiri and Wijnaldum there has been no addition in the midfield department.

Moreover, with Sadio Mane entering into the last year of his contract, Liverpool will be keen to explore the options in the upcoming transfer window. Thus, it might be possible that Les Dogues star player eventually ends up in Anfield next summer.
