Young forward Ben Doak has agreed to a new contract with Merseyside giants Liverpool.

Young Liverpool player Ben Doak is highly regarded. And he has just chosen to sign his first professional deal with the team.

The club’s official website gave this update following the teen’s outstanding cameo in the Reds’ Carabao Cup triumph over Derby County.

The 17-year-old made an impact with his aggressive dribbling against the League One team in the match. He recorded the second-highest completion rate and the most attempted dribbles despite only playing for 16 minutes.

Former Celtic talent Ben Doak signs his first professional contract with Liverpool

After making his senior debut for Jurgen Klopp’s team, the £600,000 compensation price the former Celtic youth sensation agreed to pay to transfer to Anfield back in March seems like a steal.

Ben Doak transferred from Celtic to Liverpool FC in the summer of 2022. And in November, he signed his first professional contract with the team.

In his first year at the club, Doak, a quick and direct winger, has shone for Liverpool’s U18s, U19s, and U21s.

Two days before his 17th birthday, the Scotland U21 international made his maiden appearance for the Reds as a substitute in the team’s Carabao Cup third-round victory over Derby County. In January 2022, he made his senior Celtic team debut.

Fans will undoubtedly have a great time watching the livewire forward if his most recent performance is any clue.

It’s unlikely that he will make his first club start after the World Cup because we’ll be playing Manchester City in the next round of the competition. However, we hope to give him another chance to shine during the competition’s closing moments.

With this contract extension, Liverpool have secured a fantastic talent who can do wonders at the club. Moreover, he can be one of the best early acquisitions like Trent.
