Liverpool have set their sights on 17-year-old Kacper Kozlowski. The Polish midfielder has displayed an impressive performance this summer.

This one comes from The Mirror, who reckon that Liverpool are nearing a deal for the wonderboy.

The attacking midfielder made his appearance in EURO 2020 against Spain and broke the record for the youngest player to appear in a European Championship.

He broke Jude Bellingham’s record, which he achieved earlier in the same tournament, and now has five caps for Poland.

Taunted as the next Kevin De Bruyne, Polish legend Zbigniew Boniek had enough praise for the 17-year-old –

A few years ago I was at the Syrenski Tournament. Musiala, Elliott, Bellingham and Kozłowski played there and I must say that then Kacper was beyond them

Kozlowski has since then made 5 appearances for Poland and currently plays for Pogon Szczecin. The youngster has registered 20 first-team appearances last season as the side finished third in the Polish division. He has made 12 appearances this season, scoring three goals and assisting on two others.

Should Liverpool sign Kacper Kozlowski?

The Reds were linked with Jude Bellingham but his deal looks dubious. Borussia Dortmund’s asking price for Bellingham will be hefty, and Liverpool may be hesitant to match it.

But with several clubs competing for his signature, a bidding war might break out thus, putting the England international out of Liverpool’s grasp.

Therefore, the Merseyside club is eying a deal for Kacper Kozlowski. The Polish will be a great addition to Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Kozlowski, a technically gifted player, is a conventional box-to-box midfielder with a knack for finding the back of the net. This season, he has averaged 0.48 goals per 90 minutes in Ekstraklasa, which is close to a goal every other game. He is also a phenomenal dribbler who averages 9.4 dribbles per 90 minutes.

Needless to say, his numbers are astonishing for a teenager. And with stats like this, The Reds shouldn’t hesitate in his signing.

But it would be interesting to see Jurgen Klopp bringing him at Anfield as he currently has the likes of Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliot.

Is there room for another promising talent or should they go in for a more experienced one? Is he a good fit for Premier League? It’s hard to say, but Liverpool signing Kacper Kozlowski would defiantly add another young prodigy in the Reds squad.
