Liverpool are looking to strengthen their squad significantly by bringing two new players to their current squad. As the Reds look to build on a promising start to the season, these additions are expected to provide depth and versatility to the squad, aligning perfectly with Slot’s tactical vision.

Under the new head coach, Arne Slot, Liverpool have started the season in brilliant form, winning their first three Premier League games without conceding a single goal. Liverpool will be looking to continue their excellent form after the international break when they take on Nottingham Forest.

Curtis Jones and Federico Chiesa set to boost Liverpool squad

Curtis Jones, the Liverpool academy graduate, is set to rejoin the squad after a period of development and improvement. Known for his dynamic midfield presence, Jones provides an efficient midfield presence, bringing creativity, vision, and work rate, which is something Slot highly values.

Jones was an unused substitute for the opening-day win over Ipswich Town and missed the victories against Brentford and Manchester United due to a fitness issue. However, Jones is reportedly close to joining the team against Nottingham Forest.

Federico Chiesa, a recently signed player from Juventus, could also make his debut for the Reds. Chiesa did not feature in the Manchester United win, as he is still regaining match fitness after missing Juventus’ pre-season. While the rest of the team is away on international duty, Chiesa is training at the AXA Training Centre with Liverpool’s Under-21s during the international break.

Arne Slot is recognized for his tactical flexibility and attention to attacking football. With Jones and Chiesa now in the squad, Slot will have opportunities to experiment with different lineups and tactics. With Jones able to link midfield positions and Chiesa making dynamic runs and finishing, Liverpool will be more equipped for the season.

All-in-all, Jones return and Chiesa’s arrival will bring an additional depth of quality, which will help the squad as they address the demands of the Premier League and competitions in Europe.
