Recently, Minamino completed his move to Ligue 1 last week after struggling to ensure a consistent run under Klopp during his two-and-a-half-year tenure at Anfield. While Jurgen Klopp reveals the Liverpool player who he found it difficult to let go.

The Japan national team player has only played 11 times in the Premier League last season, despite not being seriously injured. However, Jurgen Klopp doesn’t view his time at Liverpool as his failure on the Merseyside. Because the 27-year-old played an important role as a team player.
Minamino managed double-digit numbers in all tournaments of the 2021/22 season. This includes seven games in both national cup competitions that Liverpool won.

Minamino was able to adequately cover Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Sadio Mané. He also scored 14 goals in 55 games and, as Klopp quoted, had a positive presence in the dressing room.
The Japanese international signed in January 2020 for only £7m, Liverpool regained that money on their move to Monaco, and the reported fee is said to be around £15m. After selling Minamino and signing three players this summer, Klopp’s attention could be directed to strengthening the dilapidated midfield.
