With the 2024-25 Premier League already underway, some LFC fans could not spot the newly signed Italian in the clash against Man Utd. Now, Luciano Spaletti tells us that we are going to miss Chiesa in the Italian lineup, too.
A section of the fans expected Slot to rearrange his cards against Old Trafford after the Reds cracked the new deal. However, the Italian Head coach has given some reasons which appear to be valid and on point for the Juventus ace’s absence from national duty.
Italian Coach Spaletti speaks about the deal of Federico Chiesa
Although Slot and Edwards sprung into action much later, they did a wonderful job signing a new face. When Federico Chiesa joined Liverpool, the supporters and his teammates greeted him with positive and supportive words.
After Chiesa joined Liverpool, almost everyone was talking about him, including Luciano Spaletti. The 26-year-old star recently marched into Anfield following his exit from Juventus.
As the UEFA Nations League is approaching, it appears that Federico will be having zero links with his National Team. But, why can’t we see Chiesa playing for Italy? His name remains omitted from the list of players in the provisional lineup. Italy head coach, Spalletti on Chiesa:
“Chiesa and I spoke and made a fair assessment, I would have brought him as an extra player, not participating in the games. He told me that he had spoken to his new club and that he needs to do specific preparation work with them”
The Azzuri Boss has confirmed something that LFC fans have been thinking long ago. According to Luciano Spaletti, Federico Chiesa will not be playing for Italy in the upcoming Nations League. Just like Ryan Gravenberch, the new LFC player will stay away from representing his nation. It might be for at least 12 months from his signing.
Recently, while talking about Chiesa, Spaletti has revealed some important points about his deal to Football Italia.

Chiesa is currently on a special training regime that will help him to gain enough fitness. He has irregularities in the pre-season. The newly signed LFC star needs to do a lot of homework ahead of his first match with the Reds.
