Despite his impressive start to the season, the contract situation for Mohamed Salah at Liverpool remains unresolved. With his current deal set to expire next summer, the Egyptian forward has hinted at the possibility of leaving the club for free if a new contract is not agreed upon.

While earlier there have been speculations of his possible transfer to Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia, the Egyptian international seems very uncertain about playing in the Middle Eastern countries.

In contrast, there are some indications that he is willing to remain in Europe, and there are many big clubs in Europe that are interested in his services, among them Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah future uncertain as contract negotiations drag on

Liverpool’s failure to secure Salah on a new deal has sparked speculation about his future. While the club has expressed a desire to keep him, Salah’s recent comments have indicated a growing frustration with the lack of progress on contract negotiations.

Salah said, “Nobody in the club talked to me yet about contracts, so I was just like, ‘OK, I play my last season and see at the end of the season.”

Taking into account how he has kicked off the season by scoring in all three of Liverpool’s opening games in the Premier League, it is difficult to imagine that, at the end of the 2024/25 season in May, Salah will leave Anfield.

Even though Liverpool haven’t added too much in the transfer market, it looks like they will be in and around the title, challenging Manchester City and Arsenal this season, with Salah playing a prominent role.

As the transfer window approaches, Liverpool faces a crucial decision regarding Salah’s future. If they are unable to reach an agreement with him, they risk losing one of their most valuable assets on a free transfer.
