Although the Merseyside Club had a slow-moving summer transfer window, they have completed bringing in the Georgian. Now, Fabrizio Romano has reacted after there were claims that Liverpool is planning to replace Alisson with Mamardashvili.
These claims might be just rumours, or they might be future plans of the club with respect to different scenarios. However, as of now, LFC has not officially stated their decision with their existing goalkeeper.
Fabrizio Romano reacts on Mamardashvili replacing Alisson soon
With the 2024-25 Premier League season already underway, Arne Slot and his team are going to face Nottingham Forest soon. Although Slot made quite a name with his elegant style of playing, he still lacks a major mark in the transfer window.
LFC has made way for new talents, but, Georgian International will not be a part of the squad till 2025. Some reports claim Liverpool will sell Alisson to make room for Mamardashvili, and Fabrizio Romano has reacted to it. A few news outlets claim that the Merseyside Club might have plans to sell Alisson Becker in 2025 to Saudi Arabia.
However, if you notice the latest trends, you will notice the pattern of their smart signings. If Michael Edwards is involved, LFC makes calculated moves in case of transfers. Fabrizio Romano has made some comments on Mamardashvili replacing Alisson in the future. The 31-year-old Brazilian player is a star goalkeeper of Liverpool.
“On the rumours for Alisson, it’s the same as Kovacic, nothing at all. Mentioning a target today for a club in July 2025 is a guess job, and I’m not into it guys.
The Saudis have appreciated Alisson for a long time but that’s it. Predicting his future means inventing stuff.”
While Fabrizio Romano was talking to Daily Briefing about Mamardashvili being a replacement of Alisson, he expressed his side. Giorgi might be worth £29 million, but, Becker’s contribution to the team is worth keeping him.
