Fabrizio Romano gives an update on Jurgen Klopp to Real Madrid

The Jurgen Klopp-to-Real-Madrid rumour mill has been spinning fast in recent weeks—but according to Fabrizio Romano and those close to the former Liverpool boss, it’s not happening. Not now, not soon.

Ever since Klopp stepped away from the Liverpool job, there’s been constant buzz about where he might go next.

With his tactical genius and fiery touchline energy, he’s always going to attract interest.

But despite Real Madrid reportedly keeping tabs, Klopp doesn’t seem ready to swap his cap for a crown just yet.

Romano and Sky Germany both confirmed that Klopp isn’t considering a return to the dugout. His agent, Marc Kosicke, was quick to shut things down:

“Jurgen is very happy with his new role as Head of Global Soccer at Red Bull.”

That might not be the headline Los Blancos fans were hoping for, especially with questions still swirling around Carlo Ancelotti’s future.

But Klopp is staying in the Red Bull world for now — fizzing with ideas off the pitch instead of pacing the touchline.

What Jurgen Klopp said on returning to sidelines?

Some recent reports suggested Klopp was feeling “worn out” with his new job and would only consider managing again if it were at Madrid or with Brazil.

But Klopp himself laughed off the idea of returning to the sidelines any time soon.

Speaking at an event in South Africa, he said:

“The last thing I am thinking about actually is to be a manager again.”

It’s a clear message. After 1,081 games as a coach—and more finals than some teams play in a decade — Klopp is simply not interested in jumping back into the pressure cooker.

That hasn’t stopped clubs from trying. As Florian Plettenberg reported, “Klopp has repeatedly received concrete interest… but has no plans to take on a top job.”

So while Real Madrid may be plotting for life after Ancelotti, Klopp isn’t queuing up at the Bernabeu gates. For now, he’s content leading from the boardroom instead of the bench.
