England vs. Switzerland Euro 2024 Quarterfinal: Will Liverpool star start?
The English squad has been in a bit of trouble after their match against Slovakia. With one crucial player down, will England let Joe Gomez play against Switzerland? Speculations about the Liverpool defender have become sky-high amidst benching rumours.
Is Joe Gomez in England line-up for the Quarter Finals?
The UEFA Euro Championship is on its way to reaching its peak, as Quarter Finals are coming up soon. England is supposed to face Switzerland in a fierce clash as we all expect.
According to official reports, Gareth Southgate is going to swap formations and make necessary changes. But, will Joe Gomez be a part of England in their fight against Switzerland?
Everything was alright until Marc Guehi got two yellow cards. The 23-year-old Crystal Palace star got into a really bad situation in England’s quest against Slovakia.
Since he will have to stay in suspension now, Southgate will probably switch to a back three formation now. Kyle Walker and John Stones are already there. Now, it’s up to the England coach to place Joe Gomez, Lewis Dunk or Ezri Konsa as the final piece.
We expect that Southgate will devise a good formation against the Swiss squad. Konsa has been a popular defender who has put up good performances as a part of Aston Villa.
He has also made considerable efforts in the first match against Slovakia. Konsa might start as a substitute, but he might open for England instead of Joe Gomez. He has expressed his views about this situation, too.
