Fabrizio Romano

Fabrizio Romano has revealed what the plans are for Liverpool in the final few weeks of the transfer window. After loosing out on Martin Zubimendi what next?

Liverpool are yet to make a signing this season under new manager Arne Slot. The reds had agreed personnel terms with Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili but nothing official yet.

Liverpool are working on signings says Fabrizio Romano

Fabrizio Romano in his Here We Go Podcast about Liverpool:

“Liverpool are still working on other opportunities on the market. I just mentioned midfield but I think they are looking at other positions also. I would keep the door OPEN for Liverpool for signings in the final two weeks.”

After Martin Zubimendi revealed his plans to stay at Real Soceidad, Liverpool haven’t explored other options. With reports coming in that Liverpool won’t pursue another No.6.

However signings are absolutely necessary this year for Liverpool if we want to compete with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City. The defense and midfield are positions which require upgrades.

The likes of Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara haven’t been replaced and due to their exit Liverpool have funds available to pay wages. A backup for Mo Salah is also needed in the long-term. Liverpool fans are hopeful that the club will make signings as Fabrizio Romano said.

Fans are concerned with the depth in the squad as many believe the Reds will struggle with injuries when the fixture list intensifies.
