Liverpool close to securing a record breaking deal amid Real Madrid interest
According to reports Real Madrid have cooled their interest in Liverpool vice captain Trent Alexander-Arnold. Interest from Real Madrid was no secret, they needed a backup for Dani Carvajal and Alexander-Arnold was their answer.
If the reports are true this is finally some good news for fans, the transfer window for Liverpool have been disappointing so far. Hopefully Liverpool can convince Trent Alexander Arnold to sign a new contract before it’s too late.
Alexander-Arnold set to sign new deal at Liverpool amidst Real Madrid interest
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohammed Salah, and Virgil Van Dijk have only one year left on their contracts at Liverpool. Van Dijk recently gave an update saying “no changes” in his contract situation, there are no updates on Salah’s contract either.
However there are reports that Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to sign the biggest deal in the club’s history. According to Lewis Steele of The Daily Mail Real Madrid have cooled their interest in Liverpool fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Nevertheless, this is an opportunity for Liverpool to push for a new contract, because it is unclear at the moment if Real Madrid will come back with their interest on Alexander-Arnold
Lewis Steele also mentioned that none of the three players who are soon to be out of contract are pushing for an exit.
Missing out on Martin Zubimendi was a huge blow to the Liverpool management. There are also reports that at the moment Liverpool are not expected to sign a No.6. Hopefully Liverpool can at least sought out the contract issues before it’s too late.
