Bologna Is Ready To Sell Their Defender!

After a wonderful performance against Croatia, Italy are making headlines again. This time, Bologna is getting ready to sell Riccardo Calafiori to Liverpool and other Premier League giants. The defender has been quite enthusiastic, but he missed one last play for his unfortunate suspension.

Liverpool Can Get A Chance To Sign Riccardo Calafiori

Even before Bologna expressed their thoughts, Liverpool were eyeing Riccardo Calafiori. Joel Matip is leaving LFC and his departure will leave an inevitable void. Arne Slot needs someone to fill up that spot, and Riccardo seems to be just perfect for the role.

Richard Hughes has recently joined Liverpool as their new Sporting Director. The former mastermind from Bournemouth F.C. started keeping Riccardo on his radar after the youngster was instrumental in The Cherries campaign.

Apart from being a wonderful Central Defender, the 22-year-old can play as a left back too if needed. Riccardo Calafiori will do wonders as a Liverpool player.

Due to Calafiori’s attempts, the Serie A side succeeded in qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.

Riccardo had 5 assists and 2 goals – this was the main reason why even Juventus is now interested in signing him.

But, if Liverpool becomes successful in bringing in Riccardo Calafiori, it will solve their long-term replacement problem of Matip.

According to Transfermarkt, the market value of Calafiori is £40 million right now. Due to the arrival of Euro 2024, LFC has not been that successful in their summer window yet.

If Anfield decides to take the necessary steps and signs the Defending Hero, it will be a good step for Arne Slot toward building a solid transfer saga.
