Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita was not seen in yesterday’s training session, as he has suffered a knee injury. The Guinea international was ruled out from the National squad as well, and could not play in the recent International Break.

This adds up to Liverpool’s additional woes, as they already have themselves jam-pack eight matches this month.

Liverpool already have Trent Alexander-Arnold out for at least another week, plus a few players are yet to return from their International Duties.

Naby Keita injury – Klopp’s Verdict

The midfielder was not spotted at Liverpool’s training ground and many speculations rose soon after. Manager Klopp was quick to give a statement on Naby Keita,

When asked about Keita’s presence in tomorrow’s clash against Watford he went on to say,

For example, yesterday Naby couldn’t train. He felt a bit here and there.

Nobody called me yet about Naby for today so we’ll see how he is for today.

He continued,

Apart from that, we pretty much have them all available. Hopefully, they are fit and will use the majority of the squad, of course.

He trained once then felt it again. I’m not sure if he can be available tomorrow.

Jurgen Klopp gives an update on the rest of Liverpool’s Squad

Klopp provided squad updates ahead of the Premier League clash against Watford.

Robo (Andy Robertson) was ruled out of Covid after our (last) game,

The normal procedure, quarantine, went to Scotland and played 50-odd minutes. He’s fine.

On Captain Jordan Henderson,

Hendo didn’t play the second game (for England), he should be fresh.

On the rest of the team players, Klopp further added

The Brazilians played, Mo and Sadio played 120 minutes, Luis played both games, Diogo played both games, not full but nearly.

It’s not a problem. This time of the year, we play Tuesday and Saturday and that’s fine – but they travel and some of them arrived yesterday.
