Jurgen Klopp ‘will send’ a forgotten signing out on loan this summer, with a Liverpool clear-out now potentially hitting as high as ten exits.
Since the 7-0 thumping of Man Utd, Liverpool have had three successive defeats and also exited the Champions League.
It has been evident that an overhaul of the midfield is needed for the next season. Besides, it now feels like the defence needs a revamp for the next season as well.
Jurgen Klopp now seems to be looking at defenders for the next season as well. Furthermore, Fabrizio Romano has suggested new additions to the back are imminent.
The Reds look to be interested in midfielders and Bellingham has been one on their wishlist for a long time. However, it is understood that Dortmund would ask nearly £120m for the ex-Birmingham player.
But before Klopp and Liverpool could afford such high-profile signings, they need to axe a few players to make room for the new ones.
One such name has been reported to be the Scottish right-back, Calvin Ramsay. He was signed last season from Aberdeen for a fee of £4.2m. Although, Klopp looks to loan him out to give him game time that is very much needed.
The 19-year-old arrived with the intention of providing backup to Trent Alexander-Arnold once settled on Merseyside. However, his first campaign has been ravaged by injury.
This resulted in the defender having only 2 first-team appearances and overall seven games. In such a case, the Liverpool boss has deemed it necessary for Ramsay to go out on loan next season.
Jurgen Klopp to make huge changes in the squad?
Liverpool have had a season to forget and they have exited every competition. The main reason has been injuries to their key players which has affected the whole squad.
Moreover, with many players set to leave the club this summer, Klopp is aiming for a squad overhaul. Although, the midfield was the main target area, Klopp now aims at bringing in reinforcements for the defence.
The Reds currently sit in 8th place with 42 points. This would be their worst finish since the 15/16 season where they finished in 8th place during Klopp’s first season.
