Saudi Giants Prepare Record-Breaking Offer For Liverpool Star!
Football clubs from Saudi Arabia are preparing jaw-dropping offers to lure Liverpool’s star goalkeeper Alisson Becker away from Anfield.
The clubs, backed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), are preparing a substantial contract offer to convince the Brazilian this summer.
Alisson joined Liverpool from AS Roma in 2018 for a then-world-record fee of £66.8 million (BBC) for a goalkeeper. He has been instrumental in the Reds’ success over recent years.
His remarkable performances played a crucial role in Liverpool winning the Premier League title and the UEFA Champions League trophy.
With 263 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions, the 31-year-old has cemented his status as one of the world’s top goalkeepers.
Saudi Arabia Trying To Tempt Alisson Becker
Journalist Rudy Galetti recently revealed that Alisson is a primary target for the PIF, which owns Saudi Arabia’s largest football clubs – Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr, and Al-Hilal. Galetti tweeted:
“The PIF included Alisson Becker among the main targets for this summer.
The League intends to sign a top-level goalkeeper and he has been identified as the chosen one.
A monster contract is being prepared to convince him.”
Despite this news, the Merseyside fans may find solace in the fact that Alisson’s contract with Liverpool runs until the summer of 2027.
This long-term contract will give Liverpool a strong negotiation upper hand as well as reduce the immediate threat of losing their star goalkeeper.
Apparently, Alisson’s situation seems just stable. On the other hand, Liverpool are facing more pressing concerns with other key players’ contractual situation.
Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all set to enter their final year of contracts in July.
To avoid the risk of losing them either this summer or as a free agent in 2025 summer, Liverpool must act swiftly to secure new deals for these players.
