According to reports, PSG will be making all efforts to sign Liverpool’s No. 11, Mo Salah in the summer transfer window. Saudi big-hitters Al-Hilal are also said to be targeting Liverpool’s marksman as they are set on making another major transfer signing from Europe.

It is said that French heavyweights, PSG will be willing to take 32-year-old Mohammed Salah to the Parc des Princes this summer as the forward would be available then as a free agent provided he does not renew his contract with the Reds.

Where does Mo Salah future lie in the summer?

Mohammed Salah has been an integral part of Liverpool’s squad since he signed in the summer of 2017, and has gone on to win 8 major titles at the club.

The Egyptian international is currently in the last 6 months of his contract and while there has been so much talk about the Reds’ offering him a new contract, he has not put pen-to-paper on a new deal at the club.

Bearing Salah’s current contract situation in mind, PSG are said to be hoping to lure the phenomenal attacker to France and if successful, would be doing this without having to pay for his services as he will be a free agent after June 2025.

Reports from Gianluigi Longari last week suggested that “Salah is in very advanced negotiations” with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.

The Saudi club, which recently confirmed Neymar’s departure, are focused on replacing the Brazilian with another major signing and have turned its attention to Salah.

The defending Saudi League champions see Mo Salah as a marquee signing capable of surpassing Neymar’s impact at the club due to his current form and global reputation.

Liverpool’s management now has a dilemma on its hands, there have been reports that the club are considering their stance on Salah’s contract demands.

They also have the issue of other key members of the squad, Trent Alexander-Arnold and captain Virgil Van Dijk’s contracts expiring in June.

As Liverpool set their sights on securing the Premier League, and the imminent resumption of the UEFA Champions League, the Reds’ off-pitch uncertainties could overshadow their on-pitch ambitions.

Whether Salah will sign a new contract at the club remains a mystery to many, but most Liverpool fans will be hoping to see their Egyptian star stay at the club for many more years.
