Alexander Isak transfer update

Liverpool’s summer rebuild is far from done, and the next big name on their radar is Alexander Isak. But Newcastle United are not planning to give the green light just yet.

The Swedish striker has become a key figure at St. James’ Park. After scoring regularly and leading the line well, he’s now attracting serious interest from Anfield.

Reports (via Ben Jacobs) suggest that Liverpool will only make a formal offer if they get a signal from Newcastle that the door is open.

That signal may depend on one major condition: a replacement. According to journalist Craig Hope (via Daily Mail), Newcastle will only sell Isak if they can bring in another forward first.

However, there’s also a twist — if Liverpool offer a massive fee, Newcastle might just take the money and run, even without signing a new striker.

It’s a classic transfer tug-of-war, and the Magpies’ squad in Singapore is reportedly split.

Some want to cash in, while others believe keeping Isak is vital. Liverpool, meanwhile, are waiting in the wings — boots laced and chequebook ready.

When can Liverpool make Alexander Isak bid?

Former CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs offered some clarity. He said, “Liverpool will only make a formal offer for Isak if given encouragement from Newcastle.”

The Reds are not planning to send a blind bid. They want to know if Isak is available before making a move.

With Luis Diaz already reportedly agreeing to a €75 million move to Bayern and Darwin Nunez also expected to leave, the Reds are thinning in attack. That could open the door for Isak — if the numbers make sense.

Newcastle reportedly want close to £150 million. That’s no pocket change, but Liverpool have already made over £190 million in player sales. So, it’s not impossible.
