Liverpool Star Bids Emotional Goodbye As Exit Confirmed!

The departure of Melkamu Frauendorf from Anfield this summer is just one more change for the team.

Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara have previously left Anfield after their contracts expired, so he is not the only one to quit.

There will undoubtedly be changes in the team for the forthcoming season with the departure of Jurgen Klopp and the entrance of Arne Slot.

Throughout the summer transfer window, the Reds hope to strengthen their squad in order to contend for prizes the following season. As such, new arrivals and departures are anticipated.

Melkamu Frauendorf wrote a heartfelt letter of gratitude to the players and staff at Liverpool before leaving on a free transfer.

The youthful midfielder signed a contract with Hannover 96 of the Bundesliga after officially leaving the team.

After moving from Hoffenheim, the 20-year-old played for the Premier League team for four years.

“As I am entering a new chapter in my career at Hannover 96 Football Club, today is the day to say goodbye and THANK YOU for the four wonderful years I spent at the Liverpool Academy,”

He penned on Instagram.

“I could not have wished for better training conditions, and my special thank you goes out to my coaches, and to all my teammates.

Thank you to all the staff, especially the kitchen staff, for absolutely delicious food, and thank you to my teachers who helped me succeed in the language classes.”

He added.

“To all the fans who made it special to represent the Club at the matches: Thank you!

The hardest part of leaving Liverpool was having to say goodbye to my host family, you certainly are more family than host parents to me, and I will miss the life with you and all the kids in the house. There is no way to thank you enough for everything you did for me. All the best to everyone.”

Although the young player made an impression while at Liverpool, he was not selected for the senior team.

Melkamu Frauendorf Needs Liverpool Exit For His Career Growth

Young players have frequently struggled to make an impression on the first team due to the intense competition at Liverpool and the calibre of the first-team roster.

At this point in his career, leaving Anfield is the best decision for him because he has to improve as a player.

He made his Liverpool debut in the FA Cup third round in 2022 against Shrewsbury Town. He received his maiden Carabao Cup start against Derby County ten months later.
