Liverpool Eye Star Uruguayan Amid PSG Uncertainty: Transfer Rumors Heat Up!

Transfer rumours have connected Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte to Liverpool, He could be added to Anfield because of his strong performances and unclear PSG future.

Ugarte The Young Sensation

The 23-year-old Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte has advanced rapidly through the ranks to rank among the continent’s most promising defensive midfielders.

He made his professional debut with CA Fenix in Montevideo when he was just 15 years old.

Scouts from Europe were impressed by Ugarte’s outstanding displays in Uruguay and in January 2021 he moved to Famalicao in Portugal.

Even though he was only with the team for a short time his influence was enough to get him a transfer to Sporting CP in the summer of 2021.

As Joao Palhinha and Matheus Nunes moved to the Premier League Ugarte filled the void at Sporting demonstrating his versatility and ability to compete at a higher level.

Because of his efficiency in passing and ability to win duels, Ugarte is a great fit for Liverpool’s starting position No. 6 part.

Liverpool was obviously interested in him last summer because of his tenacity and resilience which fit in well with the club’s culture.

Ugarte’s current appearance at the Copa America with the Uruguay national team where he is playing alongside Darwin Nunez of Liverpool has increased attention for him.

Struggle At PSG

Ugarte struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in the starting lineup by the end of the season at Paris Saint-Germain despite having a great start to the season.

Jorge Chijane his agent recently made hints about a potential transfer naming Liverpool as one of the teams that might be interested.

Ugarte could be a valuable addition to the Reds because PSG may be willing to let him go and Liverpool needs a strong durable midfield player. As a result, Liverpool may rekindle their interest in Ugarte.
