Luis Diaz might be closing in on a move to Bayern Munich as the German side’s new offer could tempt Liverpool to finalise the deal.
The 28-year-old has been on the radar of several big clubs this summer. FC Barcelona were one of the top contenders for him. The player’s side reportedly wanted the move, but Liverpool rejected their previous approaches due to valuation issues. Hansi Flick’s side then turned their attention elsewhere and signed Marcus Rashford, as per multiple reports.
Despite Arne Slot still possibly wanting to keep Diaz for the upcoming season, the Colombian forward might have already made up his mind. Reports say he has a verbal agreement with Bayern Munich, who now consider him their top summer target.
Although Liverpool previously rejected Bayern’s approach for Diaz, the German giants are now preparing a fresh offer.

Bayern might still fall short of Liverpool’s valuation for Luis Diaz
According to Paul Joyce of The Times, a new offer in the region of €70m–€75m is expected from Bayern Munich for Luis Diaz. However, this may still be below the figure that would tempt Liverpool.
The Merseyside club could be willing to accept close to €80m, as they reportedly asked Barcelona to pay around that amount earlier this summer.
Meanwhile, Sky Germany reported that Bayern have already submitted a second bid worth over €67.5m. No response has been received from the Reds for that offer yet.
In the meantime, Arne Slot has reportedly begun searching for a suitable replacement for Diaz. Real Madrid’s Rodrygo is being considered a potential candidate, and Liverpool are said to be interested in the 24-year-old Brazilian.
