Liverpool Urged To Break Bank For £51.4M Midfield Maestro By Incoming Manager!

The Reds are ready to brace a summer of change following the departure of Jurgen Klopp. Now, the new manager Arne Slot has wasted no time in making his intentions known as he is instructing Liverpool to trigger the £51.4 million release clause for RB Leipzig midfielder Dani Olmo.

Will They Beat City And Barca To The Punch?

According to the sources from Spanish outlet El Nacional, Slot views Olmo as the linchpin to reconstruct Liverpool’s midfield department.

He is urging the club to act swiftly to fend off the competition from rival suitors such as Barcelona and Manchester City.

Olmo’s versatility as an attacking midfielder is outstanding. Additionally, he is capable of playing in either flank. He has eight goals and five assists to his name this season for RB Leipzig.

Liverpool are quite familiar with Bundesliga dealings. In recent years Liverpool have secured players like Naby Keita, and Ibrahima Konate from Leipzig. These experiences can offer the Reds a strategic advantage in negotiations.

However, there is bound to be tough competition from European heavyweights for Dani Olmo.

Slot Finds Olmo ‘Ideal’ For Liverpool

Slot’s arrival not only impacts the team but also the transition in Liverpool’s backroom setup. The Dutchman is expected to bring in his assistant from Feyenoord, Sipke Hulshoff, who gave up on the Dutch national team to join Liverpool.

Slot is set to bring in three more staff from Feyenoord. Also, Liverpool will have to find a new goalkeeping coach as long-serving coach John Achterberg is set to leave Anfield to join Steven Gerrard at Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq.

Alongside new sporting director Richard Hughes and the revered Michael Edwards in a revised role, Anfield is primed for a stunning summer transfer window.

According to Arne Slot, Dani Olmo is the ‘ideal candidate’ to improve Liverpool’s attacking arsenal. The 45-year-old has already asked the Liverpool board to ‘have no doubts’ in this transfer deal and to ‘pay the figure as soon as possible’.
