Liverpool have been playing it safe with injuries this season, but young midfielder Tyler Morton has been dealt a brutal blow, ruling him out for the campaign.

Liverpool are playing safe in this season when it comes to injury problems. The Merseyside are having fewer injured players this season than any other side in the Premier League.

However, now their young 22-year-old midfielder Tyler Morton is out for the rest of the season after his surgery on a shoulder injury.

Morton picked up a shoulder injury last week and had completed surgery recently due to that injury. Initially, it was looking like the 22-year-old would be missed for one month.

But now he is out for three months, which means the whole of the rest of the season.

Tyler Morton is out for the rest of the season due to an injury

Liverpool already lost two players, including Chris Jones and Cody Gakpo, for their game against Wolves this weekend.

Chris Jones was sent off after a match clash against Everton. Cody Gakpo is also missing from the game after some minor issues.

Apart from that the whole team is ready to take on against Wolves. However, Tyler Morton is also out of the squad due to his injury.

In an update on Instagram, Morton confirmed that his “operation went well,” thanking all the Liverpool supporters for their wishes ahead of a lengthy spell out.

Morton made only five appearances this season for the Reds and provided one assist. So, his miss will not affect that much for Arne Slot’s side.

However, this is a very crucial stage for the youngster in his long-term personal growth. From that perspective, his injury is important for both Liverpool and Tyler Morton.

Morton also failed to attract any club in the January transfer window for a loan move on a permanent move to a new club.

Middlesbrough were once interested in getting the deal for the 22-year-old. However, they failed to meet the demands of Liverpool. So, Tyler Morton remained at the club.
