Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk discusses the club’s summer signings.

As the Merseysiders aren’t looking to slow down this summer, Van Dijk said while speaking with The Anfield Wrap: “We’ve made great additions to the team so far, let’s see what happens the rest of the transfer window…”

He also added: “It’s all down to hard work and focusing on ourselves. We’re all in this together.”

Major signings of the summer for Liverpool so far

Jeremie Frimpong – The Dutch right-back was Liverpool’s first signing of the summer, officially unveiled back in May. The club didn’t waste any time replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold, as the Reds announced Jeremie Frimpong on the same day Trent left.

Florian Wirtz – Surely the most awaited transfer of the summer for the Reds. The club paid nearly £116m to Bayer Leverkusen to bring him to Anfield. Many clubs were interested in Wirtz, but he rejected them all — only wanting to join Liverpool.

Milos Kerkez – After signing Wirtz for a record transfer fee, the Premier League champions made another move to bring Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth. The club might now see him as a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson.

Hugo Ekitike – The fourth major signing of the summer for the Reds was unveiled by the club on Thursday. Hugo Ekitike had been on Liverpool’s radar since June. The club finally sealed the deal a few days ago, bringing him to Merseyside for a fee of over €90m.

The club doesn’t seem to want to stop here, as Van Dijk also hinted by saying, “Let’s see what happens the rest of the transfer window…” According to multiple reports, the Premier League champions are still looking to bring in Alexander Isak this summer. They’re closely monitoring the situation, as the Swedish striker reportedly wants to leave Newcastle United.
