Liverpool considering a move for Greenwood

Liverpool are considering a move for the Manchester United prodigy, as they look to strengthen their attacking options in the summer.

Mason Greenwood has hit the ground running for Marseille this season, scoring 14 times and adding 3 assists to his goal tally so far this term.

Although it has been reported that Liverpool are weighing up a move for the attacker, they are not the only big side linked with Greenwood as Juventus, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are all believed to be in the mix for the Englishman.

Interest from Anfield presents a huge opportunity for the attacker to return to the English top-flight, following his confirmed departure from the Red Devils last summer.

While Liverpool have shown interest in Greenwood, Marseille are not intent on losing a key player still in his debut season at the club. Goal.com reports that the club have slapped a £62 million price tag on the forward in an attempt to deter some of the interested clubs.

One factor to consider in any potential transfer for the forward, is the presence of a 50% sell-on clause that Manchester United have, which means they claim a good percentage of any proceeds from future sales for Greenwood.

In all of these, it remains to be seen how this situation unfolds as the summer transfer window approaches.
