Liverpool have found a new shirt sales king in record signing Florian Wirtz. The German playmaker tops the list after the launch of the new Adidas home and away kits for the 2025/26 season.
Wirtz was confirmed as Liverpool’s new No. 7 shortly before the official unveiling of the striking red home kit and crisp white away kit. The launch has been declared the most successful in the club’s history, with orders placed from more than 150 countries worldwide.
Sales have surged by more than 700% compared to last year’s Nike kit release, helped by the reopening of a modernised official club store outside Anfield. The launch also set a Premier League record for social media engagement ahead of the new campaign.

Liverpool’s new Adidas deal marks the third chapter in their partnership, following earlier stints from 1985–1996 and 2006–2012. The agreement will run for 10 years and is worth significantly more than the previous Nike contract, bringing in well above the £60 million annual figure reported in the past.
Wirtz’s £116 million move from Bayer Leverkusen smashed the British transfer record this summer, and his arrival has captured the imagination of fans. Featured heavily in Adidas’ promotional campaign alongside Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister, the 21-year-old’s shirt has flown off the shelves.
Last season, Dominik Szoboszlai topped Liverpool shirt sales, with Salah second and Mac Allister third. But this year, Wirtz has taken the crown with ease — and his popularity shows no signs of slowing down.
