Liverpool are preparing a bid for Atalanta star Ademola Lookman who seems set and ready to depart from the Italian club in the summer.
It has been reported that the Reds are looking to make an offer to sign former Fulham and Everton winger, Ademola Lookman.
The player who was crowned the 2024 African Player of the Year at the CAF awards in December, is enjoying another fine season in Italy and could be looking to move away from Bergamo.
Following a public fallout with head coach Gian Piero Gasperini, after Atalanta’s 3-1 home loss to Club Brugge in the knockout phase, it appears likely that Lookman, who missed a penalty in that match, will be on his way out from the club in the summer.

Liverpool planning a bid for Lookman
Teamtalk reports that Liverpool are willing to pay £37m for Ademola Lookman, as they see the Nigerian as a great option for their forward line.
Lookman has scored 49 goals and provided 22 assists in 108 appearances for Atalanta. The forward was also named their player of the season for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons.
The English born Nigerian forward has been pivotal since joining Atalanta in 2022. He helped them secure the UEFA Europa League title last season, netting a hat-trick in 3-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the final.
Although, Atalanta will prefer to sell the player abroad than to any of their local rivals, the amount the Reds’ are reportedly willing to pay for his services fall short of the £53.7m price they want for their star forward.
There is also expected to be stiff competition for the forward, as Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Juventus, Newcastle, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham are all said to be interested in the 27-year-old.
